PRESENTING THE CONFERENCE

The aim of this Conference is to create a debate conference concerning the great challenges which the contemporary society addresses to education of everywhere: globalization, interculturality, development, communication, partnership, profesionalisation, qualification.

The participants will be invited to discuss about the priorities of education in the beginning of the third millennium, about multiplying the functions belonging to education within the Knowledge Society, about increasing the role of the school institutions at the local communities’ level, about ways of innovating the teaching & learning processes.

Opportunities for debating on/upon the initial & continuing training of the didactic staff and for presentation of important educational European organisms (European Society for Research on the Education of Adults, European Network on Teacher Education Policies, European Forum of Vocational Education and Training, The Balkan Society for Pedagogy and Education) will be created.

The conference is equally opened to researchers, educational policies makers, strategists, managers and educators which are performing their activity in classrooms or in non-formal & informal educational organizations as well.

5^th International Conference Edu World 2012 Proceedings will be published by The Procedia – Social and Behavioural Sciences – ELSEVIER (www.elsevier.com) – which is also included in Scopus, the abstracting and indexing database, ScienceDirect and is also currently being evaluated by ISI for SSI Proceedings inclusion. 

The Procedia – Social and Behavioral Sciences is an open access product focusing entirely on publishing full sets of conference proceedings, enabling fast, world-wide dissemination so that conference delegates can publish their papers in a dedicated online issue on SciVerse ScienceDirect.

Proceedings Volumes published in the Procedia – Social and Behavioral Sciences are listed in Scopus. They are also sent to Thomson Reuters for evaluation regarding possible inclusion in the Proceedings Citation Index. Inclusion decisions are made by Thomson Reuters on an individual, volume by Volume basis based on content quality.  

Scopus is the largest abstract and citation database of research literature and quality web sources, covering peer- reviewed titles from over 5000 publishers.

The official language of the conference is English.
